New video: Sketchbook ideas for artists (Empower your drawings)

Hey there, Reader!

I have a special treat for you today: I published a brand new YouTube video for you to watch!

In this video titled Sketchbook ideas for artists | What to draw when you're bored, I show you real examples from my sketchbooks of creative drawing ideas that you can try in your own sketchbooks.

This video marks a BIG milestone in my content creation career because for the first time ever, I'm taking you on a visual tour of my sketchbooks to show you a lot (but not all) of the diverse artwork I've created over the years.

The main drawing and sketchbook ideas that I discuss include flowers and trees, cartoons and Disney characters, animals, landscapes, and mountains.

In addition, I show you everything from simple sketches to experimental studies to polished artwork.

And if you enjoy multi-media art as much as I do, then you'll be pleased to see that these sketchbook ideas were drawn using graphite, pen and ink, coloured pencils, and watercolour pencils!

So without further ado, I invite you to join me in this new YouTube video where you learn:

  • ✍️ What to draw including flowers, trees, cartoons, Disney characters, animals, landscapes, and mountains
  • 🖼️ How to fill up your sketchbooks with easy sketches, loose studies, and polished works of art
  • 🖊️ How to experiment with graphite, pen and ink, coloured pencils, and watercolour pencils in your sketchbooks

My intention is to share these drawing ideas straight from my own sketchbooks to show you the unlimited ways in which you can combine subject matter and different art mediums to create artwork.

I believe sketchbooks are a safe space for creative exploration, authentic self-expression, and pure fun. That's why I want to help you make the most out of your sketchbook and your art practice!

So by the time you're done watching the video, you'll feel inspired to draw something new, Reader!

Best of all, this video gives you dozens of sketchbook ideas to choose from. I've done the hard work for you, so all you have to do is pick your favourite ideas!

ACTION STEP: Watch the video and then choose 1 - 3 drawing ideas that stood out to you the most. Take out your sketchbook and set aside some time to draw that subject matter. Have fun and enjoy the drawing process!

I put a lot of love, time, and effort into this video. So I hope you have as much fun watching the video as I did creating it!

Talk to you again soon,

Your art instructor,

Miranda

Hey there, Reader! In case no one has told you this recently, I want to remind you that: You are worthy of being an artist. You are enough. Your art is enough. You matter. Therefore, your art matters. Your art is valuable whether anyone sees it or not. You are exactly where you're meant to be on your artistic journey. Art is not a competition. You don't need to compare yourself to anyone else. Take your time. Art is not a race, and there is no finish line to cross. Practice makes progress....
