New video: How to paint watercolour bookmarks for beginners

Hey there, Reader!

Do you love reading? I do!

When I'm not creating art, I'm often reading a good book because it's one of my favourite hobbies.

So I had an idea.

What if I combined my love for art and reading into one project?

Thus the concept for my newest watercolour tutorial was born.

This week, I'm teaching you a simple step-by-step process that'll help you create your very own watercolour bookmarks!

In my newest YouTube video titled Easy watercolour bookmarks for beginners: Watercolour and ink tutorial, I teach you how to:

  • Paint two colourful bookmarks using different colour palettes.
  • Apply a seamless variegated wash with smooth transitions and a spontaneous variegated wash with lots of texture.
  • Use pen and ink so that you can draw simple but lovely floral designs on each bookmark.

Yes, you read that correctly.

This video includes two fun and easy watercolour tutorials. What a treat!

By the time you're done watching the video, you'll know how to create two easy watercolour bookmarks that you can use in your everyday life.

And if reading isn't really your thing, you can gift the bookmarks to your family and friends. Isn't that nice?

So come join me in this week's video and let's paint together, Reader!

Talk to you again soon,

Your art instructor,

Miranda

Hey there, Reader! As an artist, do you relate to the following story? You feel good because you just created a drawing that you believe looks great. The textures look detailed. The proportions make sense. And the composition is balanced. But oddly enough, something feels like it's lacking. But what is it, you wonder? So you scratch your head and stare at your drawing with a puzzled look etched upon your face. Then suddenly a light bulb turns on in your brain as the answer dawns on you: The...

Hey there, Reader! Last week, I taught a live class where my students had a blast drawing flowers with graphite. This online class is published on the art education platform called Foxsy where I teach 2 new art classes every month. On March 20th, I'm teaching another exciting class where you learn how to draw trees with graphite. I don't want you to miss out on these amazing learning opportunities, so I'd like to introduce you to Foxsy's Class Pass which allows you to get lifetime access to...

Hey there, Reader! First of all, I'd love to say a big THANK YOU to everyone who responded to last week's newsletter! Overall, our art community voted in favour of attending and watching livestreams on my YouTube channel. As a result, I'm happy and excited to announce that livestreaming will be coming to my YouTube channel in the near future! That being said, I need to wrap up some creative projects before I start livestreaming. As well, I need to figure out the tech such as livestreaming...
