A HUGE creative milestone was reached today, Reader! I published a brand new video on my channel, which marks my official return to YouTube! Over the last several months, I've been on a steady recovery from creative burnout. As such, publishing this video is a significant milestone for me because it represents all the wonderful progress I've made on my creative journey. So in today's video titled Recovering from creative burnout: This is how I'm healing (The Artist’s Way Week 1), you get to see a different side of me. The side of me that is chatty, friendly, and vulnerable in my storytelling. Truth be told, I had to overcome some limiting beliefs to get to the point where I finally feel safe to change up my content and experiment with this new form of self-expression. I owe it to The Artist's Way Week 1: Recovering A Sense of Safety for helping me find the courage to experiment with new creative projects, such as today's video. In it, I chat with you about how I'm using the tools in The Artist's Way program to empower my creativity, feel artistically inspired again, and cultivate inner safety so I can step outside of my creative comfort zone. In this brand new YouTube video, I share with you:
You don't want to miss hearing my story about being a shadow artist because I believe there are many artists just like you, Reader, who'll relate to my experience of growing up in an environment that strongly discouraged me from pursuing art.
By the time you're done watching, you'll understand how tools such as daily journaling and taking yourself on solo dates cultivate self-intimacy. By doing so, you create an inner space where you feel safe to explore your creativity. I'm really proud of sharing this video with you because I'm giving myself permission to create new kinds of content and share a different side of my personality. As a result, I feel a lot freer as an artist. I'm taking risks and feeling more courageous with my creativity than ever before! So I invite you to come on this creative journey of healing and transformation with me! ACTION STEP: Click on Recovering from creative burnout: This is how I'm healing (The Artist’s Way Week 1). Have fun watching the video, Reader! Talk to you again soon, Your friend, Miranda |

Hey there, Reader! Well, this wasn't the email I was expecting to write this week. If you followed my newsletters these past few weeks, you know I'm currently doing The Artist's Way 12-week program. So far, I'm finding it extremely helpful! For those who don't know, The Artist's Way is a 12-week program that helps artists reconnect with their creativity. Artistic recovery happens when you unblock your creativity by overcoming limiting beliefs, self-doubt, and fear. That being said, my...
Hey there, Reader! I had an epiphany the other day! I realized that even though I took a break from art in order to heal from burnout, life obviously went on for the kind people (such as yourself) who're subscribed to my weekly newsletter. So while I rested and recharged my creative batteries for many months, a lot of you actively continued creating art. That means you likely made progress with your drawing and painting skills. No matter how big or how small, your meaningful progress deserves...
Hey there, Reader! I left you with a mysterious cliffhanger in last week's email. Allow me to reveal it to you now. Last week, I mentioned that when I returned to watercolour painting, I encountered a problem. The unexpected challenge I ran into is procrastination. You see, while I was healing from burnout, I did a lot of inner work and self-reflection to aid my recovery. So over the past several months, I've made amazing progress with adopting healthier habits and improving my artist...
