I hope you're having fun creating art and enjoying the summer, Reader! For me, August is always a socially engaged time of the year when I go out, have fun, and spend time with family and friends. As a result, I don't have a new video or blog post to share this week. That being said, I have a few updates I'd like to share with you. First of all, I'm really glad to announce that I finally started painting with pan and tube watercolours again. It might not seem like a big deal, but it is to me because I recently returned to painting with pans and tubes (as opposed to watercolour pencils) for the first time in a year. In other words, I'm finally breaking through the resistance and artistic blocks that have kept me stuck for many months. As the mental blocks dissolve, I'm learning that art is truly a never-ending journey and not a final destination. You never arrive anywhere because you (and your art) are always changing and evolving. Personally, this realization feels freeing, and now I feel more at ease to create without expectation or unnecessary pressure. Currently, I'm in the unknown of my artistic journey. I'm excited (and anxious) to see what kind of artwork or new art style will emerge in this season of my life. Secondly, I'm currently working through week 8 of The Artist's Way. I've had a lot of a-ha! moments over the last few weeks, and I'm going to share those thoughts and my experiences with you over the upcoming weeks. If you subscribe to my YouTube channel, you can watch the first two videos in The Artist's Way series here:
Truth be told, now that I'm active on YouTube again, I forgot how much time and energy it takes to create videos. So, going forward, my intention is to combine two or three weeks of my Artist Way journey into one video because I believe doing so will make the video creation process more sustainable. That's enough about me. Now, I'd love to hear about you if you're willing to share your artistic journey with me. ACTION STEP: Reply to this email to let me know what artistic or creative project you're currently working on. I'd love to hear about your creative journey because I'm curious to see how you're currently evolving as an artist, Reader! Talk to you again soon, Your friend, Miranda P.S. I didn't publish any new video or blog post this week. However, I'll be back soon to share with you my artistic breakthroughs, new creative experiments, and evolving dreams. Stay tuned, Reader! |

This one decision changed my life, Reader. The decision encouraged me to return to creating art even though I still felt somewhat creatively stuck. And it motivated me to return to my creative business even though I didn’t feel 100% ready. Making creativity a priority is the decision that changed my life for the better because I feel much more inspired, expressive, and connected to my art nowadays. I would love for you to experience a similar transformation as me, which is why I'd like to...
Do you really know yourself, Reader? If social media trends and algorithms didn't influence your opinions, would you still follow those art trends? When someone criticizes you or your art, do you automatically accept their judgement as your personal truth? When your culture reinforces negative beliefs about art and creativity, do you buy into those collective stories because you're "supposed to?" And do you make art you truly love, or does your art conform to societal expectations in order to...
A HUGE creative milestone was reached today, Reader! I published a brand new video on my channel, which marks my official return to YouTube! Over the last several months, I've been on a steady recovery from creative burnout. As such, publishing this video is a significant milestone for me because it represents all the wonderful progress I've made on my creative journey. So in today's video titled Recovering from creative burnout: This is how I'm healing (The Artist’s Way Week 1), you get to...
